This policy provides general guidance on the holding of court during inclement weather or other building emergencies for the Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, and San Angelo divisions. The determination to hold, delay, or cancel scheduled court hearings is at the discretion of each judicial officer.

Attorneys and litigants should call the courtroom deputy for Judge Jones for instructions regarding the status of hearings canceled due to inclement weather or emergency:

The local media is informed in the event of extended emergency closings in the Abilene, Amarillo, Lubbock, or San Angelo federal courthouses.
