The intent of this policy is to provide general guidance on the holding of court during inclement weather or other building emergency in the Dallas division. In the event of inclement weather, our court has adopted the Dallas Independent School District (DISD) closing as the operative event for inclement weather. If DISD is closed, our court will cancel hearings. Attorneys and litigants should call the respective courtroom deputy for further instructions regarding rescheduling cancelled hearings. If an individual judge has an exigency requiring attention, the court will make necessary arrangements with the affected parties.

A pre-recorded message will provide information on the opening and closing of the bankruptcy clerk's office. No other message will be provided at this telephone number.
