Creditor Attorney Class

This class is an instructor-led course designed for attorneys who represent creditors in bankruptcy proceedings. Course length is 4 hours. This course provides attorneys hands-on experience using CM/ECF. Upon completion of this course you will be able to:

  • Convert word-processing documents to PDF
  • Use an internet browser to access ECF via the Internet
  • Docket pleadings
  • File a Proof of Claim
  • Research the electronic docket to obtain case information using various reports in CM/ECF
  • Open a Chapter 7
  • Upload a creditor matrix
  • Assign a Judge/Trustee to a case
  • Open an adversary proceeding

Participants who complete this course will receive 3.75 hours of CLE credit.

Class Materials

Participants will need to bring their PACER login to class, as well as a notepad and pen to take notes. All other class materials will be provided.

Times & Locations

CM/ECF Classroom training will be offered in Dallas and Lubbock. All Dallas classes will be held from 9:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. in the Earle Cabell Federal Building - Computer Training Center (1st Floor).
All Lubbock classes will be held from 1:00 - 5:00 in the George Mahon Federal Building, 3rd Floor, Rm. 309.

Class Dates

There is a maximum of 10 participants per class. Click on an open date below to verify there are enough spaces available for the date you would like to request training. Once you determine which class date you would like to attend, click on "Register for Course" to sign-up for the class.
