The ECF Online Attorney Training program is designed to provide you with the skills necessary to file documents electronically. In order to obtain an ECF login and password, you will need to complete a series of interactive modules and at the completion of the final module you will be given instructions to complete a Connectivity Exercise. Once you complete the exercise, it will be reviewed for accuracy and, if approved, then you will be issued an ECF login/password. Office staff (non-attorneys) are also welcomed to take advantage of this training program and can receive an ECF Training Certificate upon request.
This training will need to be completed in one sitting and progress cannot be saved to return to it at a later time if you exit the lesson. However, you will have the option to pause the module, minimize the browser and when you are ready to begin again, maximize the browser and press play to resume the lesson. It will take approximately 1.5 hours to complete viewing all modules.
There are two online training programs offered below. The Debtor Attorney Training was developed for attorneys who mainly represent debtors and will typically be filing documents such as: new bankruptcy cases, new adversary proceedings, appeals, motions/applications and any pleadings related to proof of claims. The Creditor Attorney Training is mainly for attorneys who represent creditors and will be filing documents such as: adversary proceedings, motions/applications and any pleadings related to proof of claims.
*The modules are most compatible with Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. If you are using Mozilla Firefox you will need to have the Adobe Flash Plugin installed and enabled.
Select the training that corresponds with the type of documents you will be filing.
