Converting Creditor Matrix to Text

General Information

Microsoft Word

1. Open the Microsoft Word document to be converted
2. Click on the File menu and choose Save As
3. Name the file
4. Select Plain Text (*.txt) as the Save As type

NOTE: The preferred practice is to use the debtor's name as the file name. This will allow you to prepare and save the creditor matrix before you open the case and obtain a case number.

                    Examples are as follows:
                    gary_grant_matrix.txt
                    acme_enterprises_matrix.txt
                    gary_mary_grant_matrix.txt

5. Select the location to save the file
6. Click Save
7. Click the radio button for Other encoding in the File Conversion dialog box
8. Select US-ASCII text encoding type
9. Click OK

WordPerfect

1. Open the WordPerfect file to be converted
2. Click on the File menu choose Save As
3. Name the file
4. Select ASCII DOS Text from File Type drop down list

NOTE: The preferred practice is to use the debtor's name as the file name. This will allow you to prepare and save the creditor matrix before you open the case and obtain a case number.

                    Example names are as follows:
                    gary_grant_matrix.txt
                    acme_enterprises_matrix.txt
                    gary_mary_grant_matrix.txt

5. Select the location to save the file
6. Click Save
