United States Bankruptcy Judge Edward L. Morris was appointed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, effective November 22, 2018, to a seat to be vacated by the retirement of United States Bankruptcy Judge Russell F. Nelms.

Effective November 22, 2018, pursuant to General Order 2018-04, all pending cases, along with any associated adversary proceedings, assigned to the Honorable Russell F. Nelms are reassigned to the Honorable Edward L. Morris, and shall henceforth carry the suffix initials ELM.
