United States Bankruptcy Judge Brad W. Odell was appointed by the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, effective April 10, 2025, to a seat vacated by the retirement of United States Bankruptcy Judge Robert L. Jones.

Effective April 14, 2025, with the exception of certain cases specifically identified in General Order 2025-02, all pending cases, along with any associated adversary proceedings, assigned to the Honorable Robert L. Jones, were reassigned to the Honorable Brad W. Odell, and shall henceforth carry the suffix initials BWO.

In light of the retirement of the Honorable Robert L. Jones, the Court has also revised its standing order regarding case assignments, as reflected in General Order 2025-03.
